We are looking for a Controller to join our team.
What You'll Do
Guide financial decisions by establishing policies, preparing financial documents, ensuring legal compliance, managing budgets, and analyzing costs and margins. This role supports management with data-driven insights to maintain financial health and reduce costs.
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Prepare financial documents, including business reports, forecasts, and statements, to assist management with important financial decisions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying legislation, enforcing adherence, filing financial reports, and advising management
- Establish and oversee budgets by creating schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and recommending plans
- Analyze product costs, margins, and labor, and make recommendations for improvement
- Monitor the company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
- Support office manager with accounts payable/receivable and other tasks as needed
- Maintain and analyze various data as requested
- Maintain confidentiality in all communications
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
This role will keep you thinking and moving!
- The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with QuickBooks or other similar accounting software
- Self-starter with critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- A cheerful attitude and sense of humor appreciated
